One of approximately 701 RS Americas produced for the 1994 model year, this Guards Red example represents the purest expression of the air-cooled 964 Carrera — stripped of rear seats, fitted with a strut brace, and tuned specifically for driver engagement over comfort.
This car has lived in Southern California its entire life under three owners. The original owner purchased it new from Porsche of Beverly Hills in March 1994 and drove it carefully for 28,000 miles before selling in 2002. The second owner, a well-known Porsche Club of America competitor, added the remaining 6,100 miles through club events and weekend drives. The current seller acquired it in 2018 and has driven it fewer than 200 miles since.
The Guards Red paint presents beautifully with no visible panel repairs or respray. All factory labels are present under the hood. The engine compartment is unmolested and correct, with the original air filter housing, fan shroud, and heat exchangers. The clutch was replaced at 28,400 miles with an OEM unit and the shifter rod bearings were freshened at the same service.
Recent service includes fresh Mobil 1 0W-40, new NGK plugs, and a full inspection at Porsche of Beverly Hills — invoices for all work are included. The car starts on the first crank, pulls hard through all five gears, and presents as it should for 34,100 original miles.
